to ombre or not to ombre

So we all know that ombre hair (or balayage) is all the rage right now- from the extreme to the more natural gradient of ombre.  For months, I have been going back and forth trying to decide if I should take the plunge.  If you're reading this, you may think it's ridiculous to be nervous about getting subtle ombre to one''s hair, however, you're talking to a virgin in this arena- never having dyed, highlighted or done any treatment to my hair (well, since the bad 80s perms in grade school).
So, with me, transitioning from au naturale to something that's not is a bit scary.  However, in my humble opinion, I would think {and hope} that a natural, honey ombre would be the smoothest transition into this new world.  All you veterans: feel free to chime in!

Ambre Hair

I really love (love, love, love) the styling and color on the first one of Ashley Simpson Wentz and since I'm currently growing my bangs out, that is totally the ombre I believe I would start out with...maybe. So, in conclusion, maybe not today, probably not tomorrow, but one day soon, I think I will be rockin' the ombre style and stepping out of the virgin territory and into fabulous hair!
